Bobcats are nocturnal hunters and are active during dawn and dusk. They are medium sized wild cats native to North America.
In Native American culture, bobcat is seen as a spirit animal. Some tribes respect bobcat for strength, courage and the ability to adapt. They are also stealthy, wise, powerful, independent and intuitive.
Zuni medicine of bobcat is clairvoyance and a secret keeper. He is an intuitive and clever hunter.
He is one of the Zuni's six directional animals and is associated with the direction South.
Hand carved of Elk Antler, this young bobcat will learn the clever ways of hunting. He has eyes of Black Pen Shell with wonderful hand carved materials of the bundle that are made of a Gold Lip Mother of Pearl arrow point and an Abalone song bird with Mediterranean Coral and faceted Tibetan Turquoise. The bundle is traditionally tied together with no use of any adhesives. The tips of his facial ruffs, nose, tips of ears and tip of stubby tail are all burnished for detail. A vary traditionally made carving.
