In Zuni Cosmology, the Sun Father is the revered source of Life and Light, while the Moon is also a celestial body whose Magic and Life Force is featured in the Night Sky. Her Lunar Cycles are used to determine culturally significant times throughout the year for the Zuni People. Both embody sacred energetic forces to achieve Spiritual Balance. They represent different aspects of Healing, Spirituality & Fertility.
The Sun Father is an omnipresent being who represents Hope and the physical embodiment of profound Spiritual Transformation. He is the fundamental Balance between Sky and Earth as his Spirit is essential for all Life to exist. He symbolizes the Divine Masculine, Strength and Protection.
The Moon Mother is a celestial being who represents Time and the metaphysical embodiment of the Natural World. The mystical influence the Moon has over Nature demonstrates her immense Spiritual Significance. Her Lunar Phases dictate the annual cycle of sacred rituals and ceremonial dances for the Zuni People. She is the Harmony between the Sky and the Earth as she is the Life-Giving Mother. She symbolizes the Divine Feminine, Creation and Wisdom.
