Looking up into the night sky with his spear pointing to the stars, a warrior bear tells the story of how the warriors constellation was made. Generation after generation of oral history is passed down in all Native cultures.
A hand carved deer antler bear wearing an inlaid necklace of Mediterranean Coral with a center piece of natural Ethiopian Opal and Turquoise drops. Black Pen Shell eyes with a burnished nose, ears and tail. He holds a Sterling Silver spear with a hand carved Gold Lip Mother of Pearl shield with inlay of Mediterranean Coral, Turquoise and Ethiopian Opal. The pigment inlaid into the shield are Black Jet, Lapis and Pipestone powder. The two feathers on each side of the shield are hand carved and secured with Sterling Silver wire. The feathers on top of his head; one is inlaid with Mediterranean Coral, Turquoise and Lapis representing a Macaw feather and the other, a eagle feather. Both wrapped in Sterling Silver wire and pinned into the bear.
