Eagle is the protector of the Sky in the Zuni six directions. He is the messenger to the creator, the great divine. Carved out of Elk Antler, this eagle has eyes inlaid with Black Pen-Shell into Gold Lip Mother of Pearl. Wearing a stunning necklace of a hand carved Abalone fish strung on Mediterranean Coral and faceted Tibetan Turquoise. The beak, feathers and talons are burnished to give detail of this divine raptor.
This Museum Quality Eagle was entered into the 2023 SWAIA's 101st Annual Santa Fe Indian Market and won 1st Place in Sculpture.
