Mother bears teach their cubs how to fish at an early age. The cubs will develop their fishing technique as they grow older to survive the winter.
A fairly new design for Troy, a hand carved Deer Antler bear holding his catch of the day. Looking upward with Black Pen Shell eyes, his mouth is open in anticipation of the first bite. His paws are carved upward to show his catch. The claws are inlaid with Black Jet pigment. The prize fish are hand carved with Abalone Shell and the eyes are inlaid with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. Hold that strand of fish tight! They are removable. The nose, ears and tail are burnished for color and detail.
