
A striking young Zuni girl is patiently waiting to give thanks to Mother Earth. She wears her traditional regalia and a Tablita, a Puebloan ceremonial headdress that is used in various dances to invoke Blessings and represents Rain and Agriculture/Earth.
A hand carved Elk Antler Zuni Harvest Dancer maiden with traditional headdress inlaid with Lapis pigment Stars. Her bangs and long hair is intricately detailed. Her eyes are inlaid with Black Jet pigment with a red Mediterranean Coral mouth.
She wears a necklace of red Mediterranean Coral.
Her robe is designed with triangle and dragonfly motifs of green Serpentine pigments with blue Lapis pigment for hem embroidery and Star motifs of Red Pipestone pigments. Inlay of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, blue Lapis and lime green Serpentine add accents of colors.
A Gold Mother of Pearl flower with a blue Lapis center highlights the back of her manta. Red Mediterranean Coral, blue Lapis pigment and Black Jet pigment is used to detail her skirt.
Her white moccasins are carved to showcase the traditional white leather wraps and inlaid with a stone of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. The soles are burnished for contrast.
