A special celebration to Give Thanks for the Bounty received in the Autumn is called the Harvest Dance.
A proud maiden dressed in her traditional Zuni regalia and custom Tablita headdress worn during the Harvest Dances.
A Harvest Maiden represents Generosity and Prosperity.
A hand carved Elk Antler Harvest Maiden fetish with a traditional Tablita headdress inlaid with blue Lapis and Black Jet dragonfly motif. Her bangs are perfectly incised flowing hair behind her back. Her eyes inlaid with Black Pen Shell and a red Mediterranean Coral motifs.
She has necklaces of red Mediterranean Coral, Abalone and Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. Her shawl is folded to show the sleeves on her dress and her hands. Her belt is inlaid with green Malachite and Black Jet pigment.
Her apron is detailed with Red Pipestone, green Serpentine and blue Lapis pigment and inlaid with Gold Mother of Pearl and red Mediterranean Coral.
The shawl is inlaid with Kingman Turquoise and lime green Serpentine with details of Red Pipestone patterns with burnished fringe. The hem of her skirt is inlaid with red Mediterranean Coral and green Malachite with Black Jet pigment detail.
Her moccasins are carved to showcase her white leather wraps and inlaid with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. The soles are burnished for contrast.
