A depiction of First Man and First Woman. The First Woman is holding the Future, forms of a Male and Female Fetish bound to a prayer stick depicting Humanity. The First Man is holding the Sustenance; Ears of Corn representing the Sacred Colors of the Cardinal Directions including Zenith (Upper) and Nadir (Below). He also carries the prayer plumes as an offering for the Breath of Life.
The woman is inlaid with natural materials such as Mediterranean Coral, Turquoise, Lapis, Gold Lip Mother of Pearl, Sugilite, Chrysocolla, Malachite, Pen Shell, Sterling Silver, Bamboo and Parrot feathers. The pigments are Black Jet, Pipe Stone, Green Serpentine and Lapis.
The man is also inlaid with natural materials like Mediterranean Coral, Turquoise, Lapis, Gold and Black Lip Mother of Pearl, Red Spiny Oyster Shell, Malachite, Abalone, Black Marble, Bamboo, Horse Hair, Parrot feathers and Sterling Silver. Pigments are Black Jet, Pipe Stone, Green Serpentine and Lapis.
