Many tribes consider the turtle a symbol of Mother Earth. The Zuni's also consider the turtle to be a symbol of Longevity, the gift of old age and the bringer of rain.
Wonderful inlay of Natural Mediterranean Coral on this hand carved Elk antler turtles shell and tiny eyes of Lapis with inlaid Black Jet pigment for the nails.
