Burrowing Owls are small ground dwelling owls that live in treeless grasslands and deserts. They nest in burrows that were dug out by other animals. They are active during the day. These owls have mottled brown and white plumage, long legs and bright yellow eyes. They feed on insects, small mammals and other prey.
A cute little Burrowing Owl carved of Elk Antler, scans the area right out of his burrow. Looking closely with bright Gold Lip Mother of Pearl eyes and Black Pen Shell pupils. He is camouflaged with Red Pipe Stone pigment on his chest and wonderful burnished colorations for his talons, feathers, head and edges of his facial ruff.
