Abalone shell have been used for thousands of years and to this day, it is still being used in many Native Tribes.
Zuni religious pilgrimages to the oceans have been found in excavations of ancient ruins. Shells, Corals and even Parrot remains have been unearthed in one of Zunis oldest villages.
A pair of carved Abalone Shell bears inlaid with Lapis eyes. The claws are inlaid with Black Jet pigment. Hand made Sterling Silver bales are finished on French Hook findings.
