Tell me about the old ways, knowledge keeper. Grandfather owl is hand carved of Elk Antler. Eyes that seen it all are inlaid Black Pen-Shell and pupils of natural Variscite. His beak is of Gold Mother of Pearl. Those long eye lashes are Peacock feathers. The chest feathers are inlaid Pipe-Stone pigment. His beard, talons, back feather and tail are burnished to give detail and color.
