There are eight species of badger ranging from North America, Africa, Europe and Asia. American badgers live in the plains and woodlands of central United States. All badgers are excellent hunters and are omnivores.
This Badger carved of Elk Antler has eyes inlaid with Lapis. The back has fine line detail to create the texture of fur. The offering bundle is composed of a hand carved Black Lip Mother of Pearl arrowhead with natural Mediterranean Coral beads. The nose, ears and tail are burnished to give color and detail.
Badger medicine is the knowledge of medicinal plants and herbs. He is fierce and tenacious. He represents passion and persistence.
Badger is the guardian of the South and his color associated with his direction is Red.
