Zuni believe in six directions that is North, West, South, East, Above and Below. Also, each direction is associated with a color that is Yellow, Blue, Red, White, Multi-color and Black. Our Corn Mothers are also associated with the six directions.
Here are a pair of vibrant Abalone corn earrings representing the Sky (Multi-color). Each corn is finely incised, sanded and well polished. No inlay is added. The simplicity focuses on the iridescent of the Shell. Hand formed Sterling Silver bales are finished on French Hook findings.
