Summer rains represent Renewal and Reinvigoration. In the American Southwest, the Pueblo people become one with Nature and summon the Summer Rains by song, prayer and dance. The show of this devotion to Mother Earth is often rewarded with precious rain which is viewed as Vitality in its purest form, a bountiful Harvest and a sign that prayers have been fulfilled.
Monsoon frog is hand carved of a Deer Antler crown and inlaid with Mediterranean coral drops of various sizes.
The eyes are inlaid with Gold Mother of Pearl and striking blue Lapis with a happy smile detail of Black Jet pigment.
A single strand necklace of Kingman Turquoise and Lapis, features a pink Japanese Coral pendant.
The robe is inlaid with a channel of Black Pen Shell, Italian Coral, Variscite, Orange Spiny Oyster, Green Serpentine, Gold Mother of Pearl and Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. Triangle cloud details are inlaid with Black Jet pigment and the collared ruff is burnished for contrast.
